Ding-ish

I really am hopeless at adding posts to this site...

My latest brew was intended to be a version of Double-Barreled's Ding, from the recipe in Andy Parker & Jamil Zainasheff's book "The Modern Homebrewer". It was all going well until I was putting the grain bill together, when I realised I didn't actually have any lager malt in stock. So I ended up substituting the only base malt I had enough of, which was Simpson's Low Colour Maris Otter.

The beer has ended up tasting fine - good, in fact - but it would be interesting to compare it against what it should have been!
